Hi,

I haven't used it myself (I use linux, with ssd which bootsd almost as fast as hibernate wakes up) but I have heard good things about Windows PDF reader Sumatra PDF. A few of my friends that used to use Foxit Reader switched to it.

I visit the same set of web sites with most browsers. The problem shows up on IE8 only, hence an IE8 problem IMHO.

Hi C,

The mix up should be fixed. I don't rely on spell checkers. At all. I write here for fun, so it doesn't matter. Hopefully the content of the post will build the credibility and not the grammar. Feel free to point out any mistakes I make though, I'll probably fix them. :)

This may be a web-site problem and not limited to IE but I have noticed that IE doesn't obey the "stop" button very often. If I want to stop loading the page and click the red X nothing happens.

I believe you have mixed up 'there' and 'their', you can't rely on spell-check for everything.
I'm sorry to be a word-nazi but errors like these damage your credibility.

1. Confusion as to whether their will be conflicts between the various versions
2. Amount of machines/reinstalls I have to work with makes it really frustrating each time I do have to install a framework
3. apt-get has spoiled me
4. Apple/Cocoa has spoiled me

I forgot to mention something in my post. Its not just installation that is frustrating. If I want to start writing for windows, what framework do I use?
.Net 3.0, 3.5 or x.x. Will my users have it installed? Will they have to install it? Will they not use my software if asked to install a framework?

Too many questions.
